🎶💙 Blessed be the name!!!💙🎶

JSU Choirs has been invited to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as special musical guests for the Bent But Not Broken 4.0 Conference, presented by Elevate Vocal Arts, November 18–20, 2026!

This incredible opportunity will allow us to share our voices, passion, and the musical excellence of Jackson State University beyond our campus. We are asking our JSU family, alumni, friends, and surrounding communities to help us make this journey possible.

Donations will go toward travel expenses and help us continue developing our musicianship and growing as students and performers.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this post can help us just as much by spreading the word and reaching someone who may be able to contribute.

A servant, educator, conductor, and passionate soul has recently passed away, Mr. Larry Robinson.

He served as interim Director of Choral Activities at Jackson State University in 2022-2023, and we are deeply grateful for his leadership and the knowledge he shared with our students.

Thank the Lord for Larry Robinson!

It is with both sadness and celebration that we announce the transition of Minister Larry Robinson, who went home to be with the Lord this morning, May 15, 2026.

Minister Robinson was deeply loved and leaves behind a lasting legacy through the countless lives he touched and the faithful service he rendered to our church family and community. His presence, wisdom, and commitment made an indelible impact upon our ministry.

Although our hearts are saddened, we rejoice in the blessed assurance that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

Please continue to keep Sis. Johnnie Mae Robinson, Keith Robinson, Shameeka, Grace Lauren and the entire Robinson family lifted in prayer during this difficult time.

Additional information regarding service arrangements will be announced at a later time.

Permission for this official announcement to be shared on social media has been granted by his wife, Johnnie Mae Robinson, and son, Keith Robinson.
