Isanti county MN I decided to become a potter as I was walking out of a "clay date" in 2009. I began my ceramics education with youtube (Simon Leach, I owe you sir), a class with Dan Devine, used equipment, kind retired potters, uncles, friends, lots of books, and lots and lots of practice...

Now I make functional wheel thrown pottery with my custom glazes. I'm often trying to create items that evoke a feeling or tell a story.

I've got some pots and a friend dropped off some staves, canes, and diamond willow blanks.

Hope you all find a moment of peace and joy today.

I made a few new things. This cup came out with beautiful colors from just a little bit of wood ash.

The leaves are falling and it's time for big mugs of tea.

Be good to yourself and let me know if you ever need a kind word or a listening ear.

These were very fun to make. Morter and pestle for crushing your day to day grind.

This Mother hen is doing such a great job! She decided on her own to gather and hatch nine more chicks. Now she's calling to them to let them know the treats I just put out for them are prime food and they should come try some. It's a chorus of peeps and purrs!

Marbled clay mugs.

For me making these lately has been an exercise in patience and studying the beauty found in just seeing the way things swirl about us.

It truly is difficult to stay peaceful in this world
