The 1/8-mile drag racing strip opened on September 29, 2001. These forms must being signed by the minor’s Parents or legal guardian.

In cooperation with local law enforcement, Irwindale Speedway opened its own dragstrip and hosts legal drag races for street-legal cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Irwindale Dragstrip, the fastest 1/8 mile Dragstrip in the Country, is open to all types of Racing and Street Legal vehicles. Racers can bring their Race Cars or Street Legal cars to Irwindale Dragstrip on trailers and are allowed to run

approved racing type slicks. All vehicles that participate must be either full bodied cars, roasters, dune buggies, jeeps, trucks, quad runners, snowmobiles or motorcycles, sorry no dragster type vehicles allowed. Drivers must have a valid state driver's license or NHRA Competition License and sign a Waiver and Release form before being allowed to participate. Licensed minors must provide a signed "Waiver and Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement Parents: Guardians: Minors" form before being allowed to participate. These forms are available from Irwindale Dragstrip. This community-based program is designed to offer a safe alternative to illegal street racing at the same time affording those participants who have real race cars and muscle cars a place to test there cars or just come out and see how fast they really are. Because of the incredible traction at Irwindale Dragstrip we have many Professional and Sportsman Drag Race Teams rent the facility for testing. Most of the factory supported NHRA Sports Compact Teams have tested at Irwindale Dragstrip. Competition in a structured format demonstrates the advantages of racing on the track and not on the street. The blend of old school and new school racers base their rivalries on performance in a safe, organized environment. These newly organized racers are quickly becoming ambassadors for the program and the sport of drag racing. Many of the old time racers are quickly becoming advocates of 1/8 mile Drag Racing, come out and become one of the many who finally realize the advantages of 1/8 mile competition. Thursday Night Thunder is our "Time Only" night with a wide variety of vehicles participating, with heads up action going on all night Some Racers choose to pair up with their buddies and see who has the FASTEST car. We have an EX class for the real fast and un-usual vehicles that participate every Thursday Night For those competition that end in a Championship. Irwindale Dragstrip offers the NHRA Summit Series, check out the web site for rules and schedule. Come out and "BOIL THOSE BOLLONIES" every Thursday night all year around. Remember it is SAFE, FUN AND FAST. Bring your friends, family and neighbors it mil be the MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF FUN for the least amount of money ANYWHERE.

TO THE FANS, THE DRIVERS, THE CREWS AND OUR TEAM: Thank you for joining us this Sunday for FINAL SHOWDOWN—the last event to ever take place at Irwindale Dragstrip.

It was an amazing weekend filled with emotion, energy and excitement, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day! The weather was perfect, the grandstands were packed, the pits were filled, and we got to experience an absolutely epic day of drag racing before we sent our final cars down the track.

To anyone (and everyone) who has ever made a memory with us on the dragstrip, thank you.

We couldn’t have been able to make it this far without you. It takes a village to make a dream like this continue for as long as it has, and we are forever grateful for the incredible run we had with all of you.

PLEASE READ:
-The 2024 Mooneyes Christmas Party will begin at 9am with live music and over 1,000 show cars, drag racers and vendors. At 10am drag racing will kickoff with the baddest pre-’72 cars the road has ever seen. The event will end at 3pm.-Spectator Tickets are available online and will also be available at the gate while supplies last. Car Show and Drag Race is SOLD OUT. Only Spectator Entry is open.-Onsite General Parking is LIMITED.General Parking is $20 per vehicle. Unless arriving with show car/drag cars, please refrain from arriving before 8am.-There will be no motorcycles in this years show. Spectator motorcycles must purchase general parking ($20). There is no special parking provided, and thereis zero tolerance for line skipping/lane splitting at entry.-For those looking to bypass traffic congestion, the REMOTE parking lot will open at 9:30am. Parking is $20 and includes shuttle service to Irwindale Speedway. Remote Address: 4937 Commerce Dr. Baldwin Park, CA 91706-NO pets are permitted.-Check-In will be drive-up style, with all patrons being scanned into the event while in your vehicle. PLEASE have tickets (Print or Digital) ready to bescanned, and payment for parking and/or tickets in hand when arriving at check-in point to help us expedite the process.-Guns, knives, weapons, cannabis, illegal drugs, and any materials deemed hazardous or dangerous by Speedway personnel are prohibited.-Vests, jackets and/or “Colors” representing any organizations, gangs, clubs, etc., are prohibited.-Outside coolers, alcohol, food, and other consumables will not be allowed into the event.-All persons entering the Speedway are subject to reasonable search to protect the safety of the public and to ensure compliance with Code of Conduct (Full Code available on IS&EC website.)-Vehicles remaining after 4pm in Remote Lot can be towed AT OWNERS EXPENSE.SEE YOU ALL TOMORROW!!
