Small acorns, deep history. 🌰

For generations, the Gabrieleño/Tongva and Acjachemen peoples have called this region home. Gathering and preparing acorns for food was an important part of everyday life, nourishing families and communities.

Join us Wednesday, October 14, for an Acorn Harvest at Weir Canyon! Enjoy a 15-minute ride in a safari-style truck with beautiful canyon views before collecting coast live oak acorns for future stewardship needs.

Help us gather these little seeds to support the future of our oak woodlands. Register at https://letsgooutside.org/activities/2026/10/14/acorn-harvest-at-weir-canyon/!
