Fourth Room Theatre

Fourth Room Theatre Fourth Room is a theatrical collaboration in the Iowa City area. Our focus is actor/character-driven work and longer rehearsal periods.

Each of us works with other theatres in the area and some of us even sit on other boards. Fourth Room is our opportunity to specifically choose projects to stretch ourselves as actors and directors and work with the scripts we’ve been dying to do. We can be responsive to ideas and mobilize on them right away, as we are project-driven and not tied to a programming season. We have also established a

FREE CLASSICS tradition and have completed a second annual production. This project allows us to work with and share talents with other performers and artists and bring a high quality free outdoor show to Eastern Iowa. Part of our mission is also education, not just for ourselves, but for all members of the theatrical community in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas. We bring experts and professionals to assist with our projects and hold theater workshops and skill shares.
