Theater in the Wood and our events are fundraisers for the Believe in Books Literacy Foundation, helping make it possible for us to provide books and literacy programs to children throughout Northern New Hampshire and Western Maine.

Every concert, show, event, and visit to Theater in the Wood helps support that mission. The more people who come through our doors, the more we can give back to the kids in our community.

Dolly Parton understood the incredible power of putting a book into a child’s hands, and her legacy is a beautiful reminder of why this work matters so much.

So when you come see a show, bring your friends, dance, laugh, and enjoy a night at Theater in the Wood, know that you’re helping put books into the hands of local kids, too.
