Join us for a special writing workshop with Kelli Woodend, an accomplished writer of Emmy Award-winning documentaries who has worked with The Muppets and Sesame Studios in New York City. Her theatrical plays have been produced nationwide, and her first full-length play won the 2016 National Playwriting Award from Strange Sun Theatre.

Step into the strange, beautiful, unforgettable world of Ray Bradbury with “The Autumn Country,” an original theatrical production created for the fifth anniversary of Festival 451indy and the 75th anniversary of The Illustrated Man.

Emmy Award-winning actor and playwright Bill Oberst Jr., Indianapolis playwright and composer Ben Asaykwee, and Ray Bradbury Center Director Dr. Jason Aukerman bring Bradbury’s words into conversation with original music, poetry, adaptation, movement, and storytelling.

Created for the intimacy of the black box, the production uses minimal staging and a handful of performers to let Bradbury’s language do what it does best: conjure entire worlds.
