Stoned Meadow of Doom & Co. have always been irrevocable bigots and have always conducted themselves accordingly. I’m glad everyone has finally held witness.
But never forget that even before all this was the gatekeeping, the clique building & bullying, the improper business practices and backstabbing, the gaslighting, the predatory advances both with individuals and bands or labels, the copyright infringement of labels and blogs, the monopolizing of music accessibility on YT, the bands he manipulated into withdrawing video from his competitor pages, the competitor pages that lost content and following due to bands asking for videos taken down, the competitors who publicly quit due to too many bands asking for videos taken down, bands that you & I both know, bands and fans that knowingly or otherwise supported him through this very not-new and very not-private behavior coupled with the dismissal of those who’ve spoken out since the beginning, the sheer hubris grown from receiving accolades from other people’s art with no experience or appreciation for the process itself, and all the other non-quantifiable social segregations and glass ceilings established by the home-brew-Spotify-Amazon capitalist corporation to which he and his (somehow-currently-not-on-the-hot-seat) cronies decided they had the rights.

Many of you may know Jordan through various past Archarus or Doomed & Stoned events but in case you are unaware, he’s far more renowned for guitaring in Drude. Most of us in Indianapolis are super privy to how incredibly talented these guys are. But if they come through your town and you dig heavy music in any capacity, we really really really suggest you take the time. Plus, they’re nice guys looking for places to rest on their sonic voyage. 🌊🤙🏼

2500 miles, 36 hours of driving, 5 shows with the incredibly talented boys in Howling Giant. These guys are not only the most talented dudes around making the coolest music this side of the galaxy, but they’re genuinely sweet people who work as hard as anyone. We were so blessed and privileged to tag along. The whole trip was a blur; too much driving and not enough stops to keep track. Great to see all the old friends and tons of new ones. Apologies for the lack of shout outs but Im genuinely fried from the travels; just know that if I shook your hand, I love you. Special thanks to Tom for the invite to Stoner Jams, which was the coolest time, to Steve of Heavy Friends/Satellite for the date hookups, and to HG for being our road pioneers. I routinely learn a lot from these three. And I highly suggest you take the time to follow and listen to

Split the 14 hr drive to Louisiana up over Monday and today. Pretty uneventful trip, but happy about the upturn in temperature. Decent sleep and did some yoga on the pine needles at a rest stop south of Batesville, MS. Got a tour-requisite chili dog at Bumpers in McComb and then got some hammock nappin’ in at Percy E Quin State Park; beautiful lake and a nice place to take a solid driving break. Freetown Boom Boom Room was a fantastic venue. It sounded spectacular and the whole crew were super friendly and most welcoming. Met some cool as heck folk and it was great to slap hands w/ our road mates for the week, Howling Giant. Attalla is pure heavy rock, Beitthemeans has such a cool southern rock and blues thing going, T**e is pure fiery hell, ASG is timeless, and Weedeater is the heaviest meal you’ll ever eat. Much love to everyone making this show such a fun night.
