master sensai, super smash bros Champ, ruler of the afro pick, and naptown super soul producer Harry Otaku provides a silky landscape that flows like butter over toasted bread. who better than the slick spitter himself, Aaron Handley to pop things off on this one setting the tone one of the more laid back records on the playlist. we think of freshly polished wood and cigar smoke with fresh pool tables. swanky.

add in the flow juggling veteran and consistent gateway collaborator Chad Peteyboy Tillman who dances on the beat and comets on this one and the effortless ending chorus from hook master Aares Taylor and one would be hard pressed to see how this cut isn't on NBA 2K. does anyone here those chops by James Oak or is it just us that's amazed?

still sleeping, huh? it's beyond time to WAKE UP, INDIANAPOLIS!!

"Still Sleeping" is the first record to open the floodgates to the musical collaboration project that is Gateway. it features the likes of naptown talent: (you can catch up with him and his Mickey Monday's series), (incredibly slept on lyricist with a great eye for presentation), (heavy hitting beat maker), and (producer and engineer from Neptune). it's one of the first records created and the additional chops and jazzy horns really push the production landscape under grungy atmosphere. consider the envelope, at the least, nudged. so the real question is how long will you sleep, Indy? link provided in the comments.

From this point forward, Gateway will be moving more towards becoming a digital and physical hub and our first step will be changing the concept of the releases. This project is the beginning of a living, breathing playlist that will constantly grow and exhibit musical talent from Indy's Hip Hop scene and more. Love, Peace, and Ma*****na, Good People.
