“Now you will witness the firepower of this FULLY ARMED AND OPERATIONAL BATTLE STATION!” For Star Wars Day this year, I got a great deal on a game I’ve wanted for a long time… a long time: Star Wars Rebellion from !! This 2-player war game sees one player controlling the Rebel Alliance, trying to stay one step ahead of the Empire, keeping their hidden base a secret, until galactic opinion sways in their favor, while the other player controls the Galactic Empire, consumed with finding the rebels’ secret base, and destroying them utterly! My daughter and I got this to the table the other night, and we were blown away by how deceptively simple the game operates. We had so much fun, way more than we expected! This will be one that makes it to the table frequently!

IT’S FINALLY HERE! Tidal Blades 2: Rise of the Unfolders from just began shipping after being in Kickstarter for a long time! I’m a huge fan of the first Tidal Blades, as well as Tidal Blades: Banner Festival, so this Kickstarter was an easy sell for me! I got the base game, extra scenarios, a full miniature set, a hardback roll playing game rulebook, and even a box organizer! It’s the full experience!

While the first TB game was a worker placement/dice combat experience, and Banner Festival was a resource management/race game, Rise of the Unfolders is a full tactical combat RPG, set in the same TB universe, taking place directly after the events of TB and Banner Festival. I can’t wait to play this!

CALLING ALL BROWNCOATS!!! The Firefly 10th Anniversary board game from has finally arrived! This is a big damn box for sure! Firefly is a 1-5 player open world quest/exploration style game where each player controls one of the titular ships, hiring crew, doing jobs, moving cargo, all while avoiding the Alliance and the Reapers! This game is a blast! The Anniversary Kickstarter edition includes every expansion released, painted minis, extra story content, a box organizer for all the bits, and a neoprene playmat!
