W. Bales Originals Art, Wood Work, Custom Wood Work I am a retired teacher/counselor. I have decided to pursue one of my favorite hobbies, wood work.

If you see something you like, please let me know. I will try to have prices on all items on my page, if they do not have a price, please inquire. Also, if you see something you like but it has sold, I can do something similar. Please just remember that each piece is handmade, so they are all unique and no two pieces will look exactly the same. Well I did get to work after selling what I had on hand. One new piece won at the fair, and I have two other pieces that I really like. Unfortunately, I am staying busy with things outside the studio.

I really need to get to work. I only have two pieces on hand and I haven't posted pictures of them. Cold weather should help me stay in the shop after the cows are fed.

I'm set up this weekend at the Medicine Park Flute Festival Art Walk. Come by to see me until 6pm this evening and from 10am to 6pm tomorrow. The weather is beautiful, come on out and enjoy it!

The week end of May 11, 12, and 13 I will have some work in the Lawton Ft. Sill Art Council booth at Arts for All.
On May 18, The Museum of the Great Plains is having a reception for an exhibit that includes some pieces of my work. My first museum show.

Lawton Public Schools called me to take a long term sub position for a counselor who retired. I'm going to do 14 days a month until the end of school. So, my wood work has slowed down some. I am still working, just a little slower, so check back periodically as I will continue to add photos as I finish pieces. Thank you all for your overwhelming response and support of my work!

Also, don't forget about the Horse Fair this weekend in Duncan, I will be set up with some of my most recent work. There will be other great booths and some great horses to see! Starts today and goes through Sunday! See ya there!
