Here’s what it’s about:

Every generation carries myths about the guitar. Who gets to hold it. Who gets to define it. What it means to play it. Guitar Women moves past those myths through intimate conversations with women who shaped the instrument’s sound and story.

Part oral history, part memoir, part cultural reckoning, the book spans generations and genres, featuring artists like Bonnie Raitt, Nancy Wilson, Charo, Suzi Quatro, Joan Armatrading, and Sharon Isbin.

Writing from the inside, as a touring guitarist, I approach these conversations as lived experience. What emerges is a lineage built on persistence, artistry, and devotion to the instrument, told in the artists’ own words.

The Cincinnati Winter Blues Experience VII is happening on Saturday, February 7th. The event guarantees an unforgettable night of music, showcasing exceptionally talented performers. Among the co-headliners is Nikki Hill from Memphis, TN, accompanied by the remarkable Laura Chavez. It's worth noting that Laura Chavez made history by becoming the first female artist to win top honors as a guitarist in the 45-year history of the prestigious Blues Music Awards. In addition to them, Annika Chambers & Paul DesLauriers will also be taking the stage as headliners. Paul, who previously received Canada’s top blues guitar player honor at the annual Maple Blues Awards, further elevates the event's lineup.
