I’m happy to share that several Imlay City art students recently received recognition from the Lapeer County Conservation District!
Students created posters inspired by this year’s theme: “Soil. Where It All Begins.”

Meet Paisley Morgan (8th grade), Ava Locricchio (6h grade), and Reagan Wnuk (6th grade) who are in the cast of ICSPA’s middle school play, 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse!
Paisley's theatre journey:
"This will be my first show and also my first time in theatre!"
Paisley’s zombie survival plan:
“My zombie survival plan is to act like on of the zombies so I won’t be one.”
Ava's theatre journey:
"I have been doing theater for almost 3 years and I have been in Matilda, Annie, the Grease pre-show, finding nemo, schoolhouse rock, and shrek.
Ava's zombie survival plan:
"My strategy would be to build a bunker and find as much food and water that I can."
Reagan's theatre journey:
"I have done 2 years of shows, I was in Annie and finding Nemo Jr during the summer program."
Reagan's zombie survival plan:
"My survival plan would be to build a bunker and stay in there till the apocalypse is over."

Meet Sofie Attard (8th grade), Brooklyn Sollinger (7th grade), and Liam House (6th grade) who are in the cast of ICSPA’s middle school play, 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse!
Sofie's theatre journey:
"I have been in theatre since the fourth grade! I have loved it and enjoyed it since then! Starring as Pepper in the show Annie, I love being the snippy or more complicated charecters! Ive done one summer program performing in Schoolhouse rock! I aspire to be a movie actor, though tough, i really love the idea of acting! :) Ive taken vocal lessons from Mr. Brewer himself and I am working on improving each day!"
Sofie’s zombie survival plan:
“My zombie survival plan is to dress as a zombie and trick them that ive already been infected!.”
Brooklyn's theatre journey:
"I started working on performances in 5th grade, first doing the Grease pre-show "Bobby Socks and Blue Jeans." Since then, I have performed in the Holiday Spectacular, Talent Cabaret, and Middle School plays "Everything you always wanted to know about middle school, but were too busy being shoved in a locker to ask" and "Superheroes.""
Brooklyn's zombie survival plan:
"My zombie survival plan is to flee across the Atlantic ocean to a place surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, where the Zombies cannot easily access (if they can swim, they would have to get through the Straits of Gibraltar, between Spain and Africa.)
Liam's theatre journey:
"I have been in too many shows to count, but here's a few. I have been in School House Rock, Anniee, Shrek Jr, Finding Nemo Jr, and my earlies one was
High School Musical."

Aubrey's theatre journey:
"I have been doing theatre for 2 years. I was a under study for two main orphans in Annie(Duffy,Pepper). Dance for 8 years, competitive dance for 2 years, this is my 3rd year.Also I have done the summer theatre programs all of the years you guys put on. "

“I would let them eat me or ask Rosie Guerin for help because she would know what to do or she will make them want to leave because she will be honest and start roasting them.”
Adelyn's theatre journey:
"I have been doing theater for 5 years! The shows I have been in ICSPA are, Wizard of Oz, Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Schoolhouse Rock!, Annie, Chicago, and Spelling Bee!"

"Mine is I would hide in a Target! Supply of everything I need!"
Emmie's theatre journey:
"I have been doing theatre since I was 8 years old. I have been singing since I was 7 years old. This is my 17th show total. I have performed in Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Matilda, Grease, Schoolhouse Rock, Annie, Holiday Spectacular, Shrek Jr., and other classroom shows here."

"I would probably get in a boat with food and sail away! "

"Ive done 2 years of Imaly City schools theatre. I started in 2024 with Matilda and then did Grease, Annie, and holiday spectacular in 2025."

“My zombie apocalypse survival plan is to gather food, water, and medical supplies, find a safe shelter, and work with a trusted group to stay alive.”

"Ive been in theatre for 6th, 7th and now 8th grade. I have bene in Grease, Holiday Spectacular and 4 smaller class plays.."

"If I were in a zombie apocalipse i'd stay with my family and we would work together."

"I've done dance for 5+ years and theater for 3! I've been in Little Mermaid, Grease, Chicago, Matilda and Holiday spectacular twice!"

Eve’s zombie survival plan:
“I would probably stock up on food and weapons and try to stay where the zombies aren't.”

Eleanor's theatre journey:
"I have been doing theater for about four years am in the dance program at IC. I have done the Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid, The Grease Pre-show, and Annie. For theater camps, I have done Little Mermaid Jr., Finding Nemo Jr., and Shrek the musical Jr."

Eleanor's zombie survival plan:
"My zombie survival plan is to find an abandoned boat, go to a habitable uninhabited island, and live the rest of my life there."

Charlotte's theatre journey:
"I have been doing theater since about 5th grade! I started dance around 2nd grade. Ive performed in Schoolhouse Rock, Annie, and Shrek. I’ve also been in Everything you Always Wanted to Know about Middle School, (but Were too Busy getting stuffed in a Locker to Ask) and Superheroes."

"I would pick the strategy of cannibalism, because if I’m not surviving no one is! "

Jo Jo's theatre journey:
