Hello Facebook friends! I apologize for the time between posts. BUSY is my excuse...but I know that all of you are busy too. Below is Zelda, a portrait competed in 2020, but has an interesting story.
A teenage son wanted a specific breed of dog for a pet( I can't remember what breed Zelda is), so the father and son traveled to Arkansas to pick out a puppy. After they got home, the father and son enjoyed training Zelda together, and the process was a bonding experience for all. About a year later, the son tragically passed away in a 4-wheeler accident.🥲 The father, now the sole owner of Zelda, contacted me to paint Zelda in honor of his son, and the wonderful bonding experience he and his son had training Zelda. Although it is a sad story, I am honored to have a place in their relationship. As I paint each of my portraits, I feel very attached to the pet and the family that commissioned me.
I will continue to continue to post past portraits and a short background about each. Please feel free to comment, share, or private message me about my pet portraits or functional pottery(which includes smoking related items)
