You really don't have to be a Wakko Dome OG to know this guy or what a big part of my personal streaming adventure he has been going all the way back to Facebook Gaming's prime and then over to Twitch as well! But alas "all good things must come to an end" is how the cliché goes... and here's another great example.
I know my page doesn't get the reach it once did, but if you're seeing this and you know IHocNation, drop him a proper send off in the comments! I can't think of a more deserving streamer! Much love brother!
Well everyone...as per usual, a long tirade on my part, but HERE WE GO!!!
After six incredible years, it's time for me to hang up the microphone and camera. Whether you originally watched me during my start on Facebook, or eventually stopped by the Twitch stream after FB imploded, I wanted to thank each and every one of you for giving me a chance, giving me your viewership, and then supporting me along the way.
Whether you simply dropped a "GG" after a win or loss, roasted/trolled me in chat, laughed at my terrible gameplay, endured watching me struggle to learn how to keyboard and mouse, commented "This stream is kinda yawn", blasted the sound alerts so I couldn't hear any of my game, or celebrated those Victory Royales with me...THANK YOU!!! Every single one of you helped make iHocNation what it became and encouraged me to continue on with my streaming dream.
Over these past six years, we've built more than a gaming community, I think we built a family. I've met so many wonderful people during these six years. I can literally say that I have friends around the world, even ones who I could stay with if I ever visited their countries (we'll see).
I've been credited with emboldening a bunch of people to put their faces and voices out there to stream as well. I know I've provided technical help and insight for those who have needed it. I've heard I caused a bunch of people to meet and become friends when they otherwise would not have. I understand I also had a hand in getting two people from across the pond from each other to meet who now plan to get married and start a family! All of that is crazy to me and I'm humbled that I had a part in it.
We've shared laughs, celebrated wins, endured countless questionable Fortnite updates where we all wondered how the hell this game had survived and what the hell were the devs thinking moments, all the while embracing that beautiful chaos in our Dumpster Fire we proudly called home. You've bought, won, and rocked my merchandise (I have picture evidence), which sounds so insane to me to think about to this day.
One milestone I'm incredibly proud of and just reached in todays stream is reaching 7,500 career Fortnite wins. While my name might be on the Epic account, those victories don't belong to just me. They belong to every follower who routinely queued up and jumped into the lobby with me, every chatter who kept the stream alive and engaged me in conversation, and every supporter who kept me motivated to hit that "Go Live" button for six years. You helped make that achievement possible, and I'll always be grateful for that.
This isn't just goodbye to a stream...It's goodbye to six amazing years of memories with some truly incredible people. I could name off so many who had a hand in it. I considered doing that, but this post would be twice as long and it's already too long to begin with. I also certainly wouldn't want to insult anyone by leaving their name off the list unintentionally. The list is long and the ones who know already know.
To everyone who followed, subscribed, shared the stream, donated, lurked quietly in the background, or simply took time out of your day to spend a few hours with me...THANK YOU!!!. You gave me memories (and scars) I'll carry with me for the rest of my life and I hope that I did the same for some of you. I'm absolutely humbled and grateful for the level of support you all provided this entire time. I never expected this kind of success when I started. I know I'm one of the lucky ones who managed to have any success when streaming. I'm thankful to those who helped me get there.
If you made it this far in the post, holy cow! You probably could have just copied and pasted it into ChatGPT for a summary. You sadist!
This is iHocNation signing off one last time.
GOOD LUCK!
HAVE FUN!
AND...DON'T BE A BUTT!!!
P.S. ...I reserve the right to change my mind in 8 months or so if I choose to or just hit the button if I ever really feel like it. I do what I want, dammit! Nothing but love!
