Ok folks, it's official! While Hattie's is gone, the family lives on and now there's a new destination for us and your weekend and mid-week rides. Mama starts working at The Pointe at Valmonte (many of you know it as the old Blue Parrot, next to top of the river) this week. Be looking for a lot of old favorites to return, along with a fantastic menu, great fun and the awesome hospitality of Joan Wedgworth and Wedg. I guarantee you're gonna love it!

Today the world lost another from one of the Great Wars. The Father of Mike and Mark Burns passed away this afternoon. Please pray for the family. Their Father was a WWII veteran and a lifetime member of the VFW. Mike and Mark lost their best friend.

Well, another landmark bites the dust. Due to circumstances completely beyond our control, we've had to shut down. I want to thank everyone who has supported us over the years. Its been a hell of a run. And while Hatties is currently in storage, God willing we'll be back bigger and better. In the meantime, thanks for the memories, the great times, the friends and family we've found. I'll miss you all, but don't count us out. We'll be around tomorrow and over the weekend if you'd like to stop in and say hi, or bring a strong back to help us load the rest. Again, on behalf of everyone here, thank you. I will miss seeing you all, so don't be a stranger!

What an amazing night of amazing music thanks to Pete, Larry, Pete, Leilani and all the rest of the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra. Incredible as always! Thanks so much to the Hattie's minions who made it all come together. Facebook mobile won't let me tag you but you know who you are! I couldn't have done it without you! OK folks, there was an offer to help do some work around Hatties which was greatly appreciated! However, Mama made a command decision, and we as Biker Church have adopted a family's wish for Christmas. This single dad of 6 (!!!!) has a recently disabled daughter so that they need to retrofit their home to accomodate her wheelchair. We are going out to New Market on Sunday at 12:30 to evaluate what needs to be done. It's my understanding that he has some materials, but labor, knowhow and some money are going to be needed to finish the project. PLEASE let me know if you have any of the above to donate to this worthy family. See you Sunday at Church!

Ok folks visitation for Mike Rorex will be at 1100 to 1300 hours at Trinity United Methodist on Thursday followed immediately by the service. Interment will be Friday at 1130 est at the Chattanooga National Cemetary. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Now that I know the family has been notified, I need to let you know that we lost a great man today. Col Mike Rorex (USA Ret) passed away. Mike was a dear friend of ours, a patriot bar none, a geniune hero in this day when heroes are a dying breed. Mike was about to be inducted into the Madison County Hall of Military Heroes on Veterans Day, and was also planning for another trip continuing what he saw as his duty over seas. He is survived by his father, brother, sister, and two daughters. He will be missed by those of us he called friend, for no better friend could we have.

I'll keep you all posted as to arrangements as I learn them. In the mean time, please keep his family in your prayers.
