Been back in the studio, and have been working on some new things... Going through archives and I ran across this. I've never published this before. Created by myself, Paul Avila w/ direction towards the UK style of mix styles by Dj Jack Kandi - Just keep in mind this was mixed live March 2014.

I remember the first time I met Dj Jack Kandi. We were working on a radio show for what was then a new Sirius Satellite Radio. He & I were pioneers on the mix.dj group with my show Retro Remix, then we both got a gig on Miami's Vybe-FM Radio which was un-heard of we had made our mark we thought.

We did many mixes together since 2006. Our styles were not even close to the same, but every time we put something out, it went on the charts.

I dedicate this to Jack Kandi - Rest In Peace my friend.
This is he & I doing a show I only have done w/ him called illumin8. NYE 2016 - Check it out, this was live w/ no chance to fix mistakes, so we just went w/ it. Each of us only had a little over 55 minutes.

Been working on some old Red Theatre Project stuff.. Hmmm, who knows what quarantine will bring.

We are trying to create a 360 degree music production that covers the artistry of music, art and yes.. dance. - From the upcoming episode 'IndigO' - this is Raphael Rogers creation entitled 'AETERNA'. Motivation / Description: The day the Sony a7s arrived in the mail, the burning desire to film had already taken hold. That night, we went out and put the camera to work filming all around Los Angeles into the early hours. Being able to work at 12,800 iso and up was incredible. We had one tiny battery operated LED light, used sparingly. The camera was strapped to a handheld glidecam and we ran around LA having a blast. This is what resulted. As our camera test evolved into something more, and we ended up not being able to use the original track we shot with, our composer came to the rescue, straight from a war zone. Maria had been living and working on music for Raphael's forthcoming sci-fi project in the city center of Donetsk, Ukraine, right on the Square, when the Pro-Russian separatists took over. Having to quickly flee Donetsk with very little, she was forced to leave behind many essential items for work. Without even her microphone, some of the audio was recorded on a cell phone. Currently in Odessa, she watches with bated breath as the Ukrainian army closes in on her former home, amidst international concern with the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, roughly 50 miles away. Creating is something that brings people from all over the world together. I think when we began creating from music stems, and simply adding our samples over and with the music we create, we begin to deliver what we call our very own unique tracks.
