This is the story from an omniscient perspective of Voice, a musician who finally has a hit record, whom a promoter offers to produce a free concert for in New York's Central park, and a quarter million people show up. Unknown to Voice, the promoter sold a sponsorship to the evil, corporate politician, Dick Traitor, who intends to falsely usurp the audience with bluster and money as he barnstorms to become CEO of Earth.
The Universe is aware of this cancer attacking its shining jewel of an evolutionary experiment, their Sci-Fi Rock ... maybe it needs to be destroyed to start it all over … again ... or maybe try to send a cure … an Impulse is sent, which embeds itself inside the concert's stage manager instilling him with universal knowledge and a purpose to communicate the cure to save the planet.
The lead characters are Voice, whose concert is being affected; Terra, the band's female singer and Voice’s love interest; and stage manager Grā who thinks he is dosed, or crazy, because he is inhabited by Impulse, the extraterrestrial, trying to work inside a human with all the strange emotions and behaviors. They come to realize they must work together to save the planet from climate destruction by corporate corruption.
The Beasties are what the universe refers to as the human emotions that cause people to be bad or good, kind or evil, hopeful or apathetic ... every human has good and bad beasties directing their behavior. We’re using animated characters to represent the positive and negative emotions
Plus there are dual love stories intertwined, as the universe's love of planet earth mirrors Voice and Impulse's love for singer Terra.
