My unpaid farm hand loves chicken coop clean out day 🤪 We took advantage of the Chicken Sand deal at FFH recently and swapped out our construction sand and shavings for it. We also built out the rest of the roosting spaces for breeding pens. One final step of putting up one more interior wall for the inside of the coop to be breeding season ready! Then to finish up separating the runs. Projects never end 😬 interior pictures coming soon!!

Scroll through for all the 🍆 pics 🤣 if you would have told me a year ago (or 15) that I’d have 10+ roosters I would have laughed. But these guys are so pretty and have earned a special place in the hen house. I can’t wait to finish up our breeding pens to start preparing to offer hatching eggs and chicks of some of these fun breeds next spring! Be on the look out for some of our grow outs over the winter to have laying hens ready for spring!
