Another beautiful state of Michigan platter from our talented potter Lauren. This piece was glazed with Ancient Copper around the outside rim, and Obsidian and Seaweed in the middle. There is a thin band of Oatmeal and Ancient Jasper just inside the Ancient Copper. A gorgeous work of art Lauren!

Have you ever seen the show The Great Pottery Throw Down on TV? Here is a chance to see one live and in person. It will be this Saturday starting at 3:00 PM at Clayworks Studio in Grand Ledge. Attendance is free! Oak Grove Pottery will have four artists participating, Susan, Annie, Tiffany, and our instructor Suzanne. There will also be food trucks, pottery, and lot's of laughs. Come join us for a mud-slinging good time!

Another gorgeous piece from our talented potter Amy Z. The deep blue reflective glaze on the bottom resembles water. Glazes used are 2 coats of Obsidian, 2 coats of Smokey Merlot applied in waves, 2 coats of Blue Rutile in waves, and 2 coats of Honey Flux overlap. Beautiful work Amy!

Have a look at this beautiful and functional piece of pottery created by our potter Red. This is a bowl for washing berries, veggies, etc. You pour water into the outside spout and the water swirls around inside and washes the fruit. The dirty water drains through the bottom openings. Nicely done Red!
