Colorado Bhangra Team

Colorado Bhangra Team Colorado Bhangra Team is a statewide team of adult Bhangra dancers of various backgrounds. Bhangra dance is a folk dance that originated in Punjab, India.

The team's aim is to spread the beauty and joy of Bhangra & North Indian culture through performances, workshops and events in the community. The Colorado Bhangra Team is among the largest Bhangra team in the western slope of the United States, teaching students from ages 3 to 30 of all backgrounds at an annual Bhangra Camp. The team has performed at many cultural events and schools, and continues

to perform and teach to this day. Traditionally, men wear turbans and women wear the respective 'churi daar or salwaar kaameej'. The dance itself is very exciting, lively, and vibrant. This particular performance has some American pop songs throughout it, as well! Punjabi Indian culture is very flexible and does not have rules and regulations. Truly, this form of dance is just to entertain - for both the performers and the audience members.
