Today we want to recognize the fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, father figures, and mentors in our community!

Whether you’re spending the day with your family, working to provide for them, teaching your kids how to cast a fishing line, build something with their hands, or simply showing up every day when it matters most — to that we say thank you!

The pest control industry isn’t always easy: long days, early mornings, late nights, emergency calls, and time away from home can be part of the job — but the dedication, sacrifice, and work ethic that make you great technicians, owners, managers, and operators are often the same qualities that make you great dads.

We hope today gives you a chance to relax, enjoy your family, and know that your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed! 💪

From all of us at Licensed To Kill:
Happy Father’s Day!😎

We were invited out by another pest control company to attend a career day event at a local middle school, and it was an incredible opportunity to connect with the next generation and introduce them to an industry that many young people simply don’t know enough about!

One of the biggest goals of Licensed To Kill is helping show students that pest control is more than “just spraying bugs.” This industry is filled with opportunity, growth, technology, entrepreneurship, problem solving, and unique career paths that most people never realize exist. From wildlife work and aerial application to entomology, sales, marketing, training, and even specialized roles like falcon handling — there are so many different ways to build a meaningful and successful career in this field.

We put together a presentation designed to highlight the “real world superhero” side of pest control — the people protecting homes, businesses, food supply chains, public health, and communities every single day. Watching students engage, ask questions, and realize that this industry could actually be a future path for them was genuinely rewarding!

This is exactly the kind of outreach we want to continue expanding. If your company, school, organization, or local event would like LTK to participate in a future career day, industry event, or youth outreach opportunity, we’d love to connect!

We’re also actively looking for partners and sponsors who believe in helping us introduce the pest industry to younger generations in a positive and engaging way. With the right support, we can continue creating presentations, attending events, and building resources that help shape the future of the industry. 💪

Huge thanks again to everyone involved for allowing us to be a part of this event — this is only the beginning!

I recently had the opportunity to attend the Swarm Pest Control Marketing Mastermind Intensive out in Tucson, Arizona, hosted by Wyatt Chambers, and it’s one of those experiences that sticks with you. Im very thankful to have gone and been apart of it.

I was honored to be invited as a guest speaker where I got to share about Licensed To Kill, specifically around recruiting and bringing new people into the industry. But in a smaller, more intimate setting, I was also able to open up about something deeper. The real impact LTK has had on people’s lives. The relationships, the growth, the direction it’s given so many of us. That part meant a lot.

What made this event special though wasn’t just speaking, it was the balance of being able to learn just as much as I taught.

As a business owner building Sasquatch Pest Control, I had the chance to sit with other operators, talk honestly about challenges, and gain real mentorship from people who have been through it before. No fluff, just real conversations with people who care about getting better.

My wife came with me, and that might have been the best part of the whole trip. We got to travel somewhere new together, explore the desert mountains, and just enjoy the experience. But more than that, I got to watch her step into this as an owner, not just someone behind the scenes handling office work. We’re building this together, and that shift was powerful to see.

The level of information shared was next level:

We learned about:
•Game-changing AI tools for marketing and websites from Wyatt Chambers
•Growth stages of pest control companies from Greg Weatherly
•Data and marketing journey structure from Mike Dame
•Emerging bee technology from Taylor Thoeness
•Building real company culture from Ismael Martinez
•Social media health metrics from Leigh Mitchell
•Estate planning for both business and personal life from Todd Jarvis
•Modern billboard strategy from Lee Klein at Clear Channel

It was a room full of people who are serious about growing, improving, and doing things the right way.

If you ever get the opportunity to attend something like this, take it.

Get in the room.
Have the conversations.
Be open about where you’re at.

You’ll leave better than you came in.

This weekend we ran a 5K as a family.

Nothing crazy. Nothing elite. Just three people deciding to move forward together.

My wife, my daughter, and I were all in.

The more I thought about it, the more it felt like this season of life I’m in right now. Starting a business. Building LTK. Stepping into something bigger than what feels comfortable.

You don’t sprint the whole way. You don’t have everything figured out at the starting line. You don’t know exactly how it’s going to feel halfway through.

You just take the next step. Then another.

And before you know it, you’ve gone farther than you thought you could.

What made it even more meaningful was looking around and realizing we weren’t doing it alone. There were friends and family along the sidelines cheering us on, encouraging us to keep going. And there were others on the track with us, running their own race right beside us.

That’s exactly what this journey has felt like too.

Support. Community. People in your corner. People in it with you.

It makes all the difference.

I’m proud of my family. I’m grateful for the people around us. And I’m excited for what’s ahead.

We’ll keep moving forward, one step at a time. 👟 10k on the horizon and beyond

🔥 PARTNER SPOTLIGHT 🔥

Licensed To Kill is proud to officially partner with Polaris Pest Group — a team that understands what it takes to build a pest control business and what it means to pass one on the right way.

Polaris Pest Group works alongside owners who are ready for their next chapter — whether that’s stepping back, retiring, or simply taking chips off the table — while making sure the company they built continues to grow, operate strong, and take care of its people. This isn’t about flipping businesses… it’s about preserving legacies and building long-term value.

They partner with proven operators across the Southwest, keeping the foundation intact while providing the resources, leadership, and structure needed to keep things moving forward. For owners who’ve put years into their company, this is a path that respects the work and protects what comes next.

If you’re an Agent thinking long-term — whether that’s growth, leadership, or eventually your own exit — this is a group worth knowing. 🏆

🎯 Built on experience.

🐜 Rooted in pest control.

⚡ Focused on long-term value.
