Playing with textures today. Started trying a technique I recently learned but realizing the structured forms are not my thing. I’m much more free flowing. We’ll see what this turns into.

Friendly reminder from Inkus: resting is not quitting. 🐙

Refilling your tank is still progress. Naps count. Quiet time counts. Stepping away counts. Existing without constantly producing counts.

Now excuse Inkus… he is currently very busy doing absolutely nothing. I’m going to join him.

Regulation is resistance. Every day we fight little battles people do not always see: taking a breath instead of exploding, walking away instead of reacting, resetting instead of spiraling, trying again instead of giving up.

Those choices may look small from the outside.
They are not small.

They are strength.

Okay art friends, I need some feedback.

I am considering submitting to my first juried art show in the mixed media category. I can submit three pieces, and these are the three I am considering.

Question: am I on the right track?

Would you:
✔️ Keep all three
✔️ Replace one with something stronger.

If you would replace one, tell me which one goes and what type of piece should take its place.

I am officially entering my “asking strangers on the internet to influence my life choices” era. And I’m totally ok with that because you guys are fantastic and I would LOVE your input.

Last one today I promise. Some of them dressed like me and drew on a tattoo. Dresses and flip flops ruled the day!

It was a great day. Got hugs from some of the best porcupine kids around. I just love these kids. One of the teachers will be going on maternity leave soon. I just might have to come back and sub. ❤️❤️❤️
