Thomas Austin Abstract Artist As a young man, Thomas expressed himself through his own musical compositions. These works served as a vehicle to express his thoughts and emotions.

A desire to express himself visually produced an expanding body of work, some of which you see here.

Bold movement, dramatic contrast, and delicate touches of gold come together in Gilded Vein—a striking 48” x 60” acrylic painting that makes an unforgettable statement.

Its sweeping texture and sophisticated neutral palette create the perfect balance of modern artistry and timeless elegance. Beautifully styled here with black, cream, and warm metallic accents.

The process is where every painting begins.

Before the color, before the details, there are layers of texture, movement, and intuition. Every palette knife stroke builds the foundation of the story.

This diptych takes shape one layer at a time with acrylics on canvas. Watching an idea evolve from a blank surface into a finished work is always my favorite part of creating.

✨ Hummingbird ✨

Created using fluid acrylic paints, Hummingbird is an abstract acrylic pour painting inspired by the movement, energy, and beauty of nature. Layers of vibrant blues, teals, gold, and touches of crimson flow together to create a sense of motion and discovery—much like catching a glimpse of a hummingbird in flight.

Art is personal. What do you see in Hummingbird?
