🖤 Ella Russell has been baking for Third Ward for over 20 years. What started as a way to make ends meet for her sons turned Crumbville TX into a beloved neighborhood staple, from pop-ups and after-church sales to spots at the Eldorado Ballroom and Project Row Houses.

Follow Crumbville TX for the latest pop-up and go try a treat for yourself. She's usually at Kindred Stories on Wednesdays and Fridays so go get your hump day or weekend fix!

📸 Happy first day of school, Tigers! Texas Southern University has called Third Ward home since 1927, and today feels like the perfect time to look back. These throwback yearbook photos, starting in the 1940s, capture decades of campus life, homecomings, and the students who shaped this HBCU into what it is today.

If you or someone in your family has TSU roots, drop a comment and share the memory. Welcome back, Tigers.

🎉 Houston Restaurant Weeks comes to Third Ward!

Caribbean Jerk Palace is the neighborhood's only participating spot this year, serving a prix fixe menu now through September 7 to benefit the Houston Food Bank.

It's also Black Business Month, so there's even more reason to support this family owned restaurant. Chef Reno brings his family's Caribbean roots to the menu with jerk chicken, oxtail, curry goat and more.
