YHGH is excited to be starting the Pathways Program this year. This program will allow you to be a part of a "cohort" with members of similar professional/career interests. Each cohort will offer a series of events and opportunities that are designed to help you build the resume and accumulate the experiences necessary to be successful in your field of choice. Examples include tips for applying to college/grad school, mock interviews, job hunting, volunteering experiences, test preparation, etc.

It's been almost 2 years since Hurricane Harvey devastated our community, and while we've seen the city recover for the most part, there are families whose homes are still in need of repair. On Saturday morning in June, YHGH members and friends volunteered in painting a home affected by Hurricane Harvey. The host organization, SBP Houston, is a national organization that focuses on disaster resilience and recovery efforts throughout the US, with a mission to shrink the time between disaster and recovery. Even if it was only a few hours of volunteering on a single day, the volunteers walked away with a meaningful experience in being able to help in the recovery journey for a fellow Houstonian.
