On behalf of myself and Grady, I just want to take a moment to say thanks to everyone for your support of the book this year. If you purchased a book or came to one of our signing events or just wished us well, we thank you for your kindness. Thanks to the fine folks at Texas A&M University Press for all the work they have done and continue to do to help us get the book out there and to the venues that hosted our appearances. Hey everybody! Just wanted to shoot out a notice that me and Grady are scheduled to appear on KUHF (88.7 FM) radio's excellent "Houston Matters" program on Tuesday, November 3 at 12:45 p.m. Our thanks to Craig Cohen, who did a wonderful interview with us a couple of weeks ago. We're honored to be chosen to appear on such a highly regarded show.

I hope everyone is doing well. Wanted to let you know how pleased we are to be participating in the MSC OPAS "Intimate Gatherings" event on September 24 at Texas A&M's Rudder Theatre in College Station. Grady and the Texas Upsetters will be performing and there will be a Q&A, during which we'll discuss the book and Grady's career. A big shout out to Thomas Escalante, owner of Sig's Lagoon, for hosting me and Grady at the book signing last Saturday. We had a blast meeting the fans, many of whom had seen Grady perform in the '60s. If you used to spend your spare time perusing the aisles at record stores, you'll love Sig's, which features a great selection of just about every genre of music and a great old-school vibe. Check it out if you haven't yet. Thanks to my wife, Wendy, for snapping these pics during the signing.

Thanks to Thomas and everyone for hosting the book signing Saturday night at Sig's Lagoon. Grady and I really enjoyed the evening and it was great meeting the fans who made it out. If you love classic record stores, you've got to go check out Sig's at 3622 Main St.

Thanks to all of the wonderful folks who came out to Cactus Music for the book signing on Saturday. It was great meeting with Grady's fans and the staff at Cactus treated us like kings. Thanks again to Quinn, Cristina and everyone at the shop. We've got another signing coming up on July 25 at Sig's Lagoon in the Heights. Details coming shortly.

Just a reminder that Grady and I will be on hand over at Cactus Music (2110 Portsmouth) this Saturday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. signing copies of the book. If you haven't gotten your copy yet this is a great opportunity to do so and meet the one and only Grady Gaines in person. Hope to see you there!

I hope everyone's summer is going well so far. We've got a couple of scheduled book signings coming up. Mark your calendars for July 11 and July 25. On Saturday, July 11, Grady and myself will be at Cactus Music (2110 Portsmouth, 77098) for a signing beginning at 3 p.m. On Saturday, July 25 we'll be signing copies beginning at 7 p.m. at Sig's Lagoon (3622 Main St., Suite E, 77002) in the Heights.
