We are pleased to announce student auditions for our upcoming production of, Songs for a New World. 🎶🌎

Audition Details:
Date & Time: August 19th beginning at 6:30 PM

Location: Jones Building, 2nd Floor | 3910 Yoakum Blvd, Houston, TX 77006

Please prepare two contrasting musical theatre songs in the style of contemporary Broadway. Performers may audition using a background track or a capella. We also ask that you be familiar with the show!

💃 Video Dance Auditions Now Open for “Songs for a New World”!

Stoic Theatre at the University of St. Thomas is accepting video dance audition submissions for our October 2026 production of “Songs for a New World.”

These are non-singing roles. Dance ensemble and featured dancers.

‼️ Submission deadline: Saturday, August 15

💲 Paid stipend for all cast members.

We welcome dancers and performers of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Dance Audition Requirements

• Learn the choreography provided here:

• Record yourself performing the choreography.

• Submit your video through the audition form.

Rehearsal & Performance Schedule

Rehearsals begin August 28. We typically rehearse weekday evenings as schedules permit.

‼We have a particular need for a Black tenor and especially encourage Black singers to audition.

Stoic Theatre at the University of St. Thomas is accepting video audition submissions for our October 2026 production.
Submission deadline August 3.

💲Paid stipend for all cast members.
We welcome performers of all backgrounds and experience levels.
