🎉 1. Fort Bend Children’s Discovery is Built Inside a Historic Sugar Mill?

The center sits inside a restored building that was once part of the Imperial Sugar refinery, turning an old piece of local history into a place where kids can learn and play. Hard work went into making it a beautiful space for discovery.

🧠 2. It’s More Than Just Fun — It’s Designed to Teach

Exhibits like “Kidtropolis” let kids role‑play real‑world jobs and life skills, such as running a business or learning how things work — so parents might be surprised how much kids are learning through play. 

🧭 3. April 9 - May 1 is for Early Explorers Expeditions!

Interactive story times, music and movement, and circle time will provide toddlers with the ability to expand their vocabulary, develop motor skills, and give them ability to be social with other children!

🎊 Typhoon Texas Houston is officially open for weekend fun again!

They have kicked off their 2026 season and are now open on weekends, with full daily operations coming later in the summer, so families can start making splashy memories early. 

🌊 It’s bigger than you might think (25 acres of water fun!)

This isn’t a small splash pad! It’s a 25-acre waterpark packed with 30+ slides, a massive wave pool, and a lazy river that winds through the park. 

🛝 There’s something for every age, including a little kid-specific zone

Beyond the thrill rides, the park features Typhoon Jr., a dedicated kid-friendly area, plus interactive splash zones…making it a win for toddlers, teens, and parents all in one place.
