We are a group of primarily Houston-based artists as well as a camp in Black Rock City (known to outsiders as Burning Man). We began as the Necklace Factory, then became the Mask Factory for two years, and are now known as the Starship Factory — a name which combines our dreams of the future, the space exploration roots of our fair city, and many of the ideals of Andy Warhol's own Factory. We prac
tice and follow the Ten Principles, and any who are willing to respect that culture are welcome to join us. We meet Wednesday evenings starting at around 7pm, and Sunday afternoons from about 1–5 (and longer hours as we near the day the Man burns).
