We hope you are making plans to attend Across the USA: A Musical Journey through America’s Greatest Sounds, which the Kingwood Pops Orchestra will present on Friday, October 2 (at 7:30 p.m.) and Saturday, October 3 (at 3 p.m.) at Woodridge Baptist Church.

As promised, we’ll be “traveling” through the musical regions of our great country. One of our first stops will be New York, where we will play several Broadway tunes. We will also visit the South, where we will pay tribute to rhythm and blues, as well as the music of Appalachia with songs like Georgia on my Mind and Dueling Banjos. No musical tour of the country would be complete without New Orleans, so we will stop there, where we will get jazzy with When the Saints go Marching In.

We will also highlight the film music of Hollywood, the country music of the Rocky Mountains and the truly American sounds of the Midwest. Stay tuned for more details!

Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students and $1 for children 10 and under. Tickets are always available at the door, but you can save time by pre-purchasing tickets on our website www.kingwoodpops.org.
