🚨Warning! 🚨This is a—caption that has nothing to do with the photo post…

Resilience, when it comes to achieving your vocal goals, is the ability to bounce back and persist in the face of challenges and setbacks related to your vocal growth journey. It involves maintaining determination, adaptability, and a positive mindset to overcome obstacles in the pursuit of vocal improvement.

Example 1. You have negative self talk or freeze when it’s time to sing in front of someone, but you gain the courage to do it anyway.

Example 2: You feel like giving up or skipping practice because you’re tired—but you show up anyway.

Example 3: You continue to work on the things you’re not as good at vocally to develop instead of only sticking to what you always do.

However, resilience is not about pushing yourself beyond healthy limits or ignoring signs of vocal strain or injury. It's essential to strike a balance between pushing yourself to grow while also taking care of your vocal health. Resilience does not mean disregarding vocal limitations or practicing excessively, as this can lead to vocal damage and hinder progress in the long run.

Remember, it's crucial to have patience, seek proper vocal training, and take breaks when needed to achieve vocal goals safely and effectively.

Happy singing! 🧡✨

It took me years of struggling, failing and being unsupported to learn many of the things I talk about on here.

Building my own skill to sing the way I do now. Realizing I wasn’t stuck with the limits of my voice when I started.

Realizing I didn’t have to believe the idea that I was too old/lacked resources/or the wrong kind of a singer/person to be a professional singer.

Having to constantly be asked what’s my REAL job? And being told I was unrealistic (by people I loved most) for thinking a career in singing was a viable option for me.

Thinking that because I lived in a small country town and never saw anyone around me doing what I wanted to do—that it wasn’t possible for me!

To even being told that I couldn’t actually run a business to help singers because they either ‘have it or they don’t’ by other people in the music industry…smh.

Being told that virtual learning wouldn’t be as effective (by other music school owners) —when it turned out to be MORE effective!

There were so many lies I could’ve believed. So many obstacles I could’ve let stop me. And if I believed those lies—

I wouldn’t have opened for Lauryn Hill or self released multiple projects as an independent artist, or built Indie Artist School.

I for sure wouldn’t have employed singers & helped singers transform their voices in the middle of a pandemic!

So if anyone is telling you what you CANT do—show them that you CAN!
