Woodland Park is Houston's second public park. It opened in 1903. It's the site of some magificent Oak trees. This one is along the northern edge of the park on Parkview Drive. The neighborhood is known as Woodland Heights for a reason.

On other news, Houston 311 works! I filed a report about a growing pothole at 623 Bayland earlier this week. It appears to be sand filled, and the recent rains have made it much worse. It's now scheduled to be repaired.

Until that's done, be careful. Parts are deep enough to cause damage to low-riding cars.
