Konstantin Dimopoulos is a social and environmental artist who had the idea to color trees blue with natural pigment in 2018. They stayed blue for about 6 months and me and my friends frolicked among the grove with the joy of a child on Christmas morning. Not just Houston, but 30 sites in all. It was about global deforestation.

Paul Gauguin had two paintings with blue trees that reminded me of them, that I then incorporated with two of his Tahiti paintings to reimagine this scene. Is he hiding, even though not very well, from her? Art Machine Gallery

New Picasso Mashup painting going to be hanging in Art Machine Gallery this coming Saturday, called "Intimacy".

“Have you ever locked eyes with someone, like in the movies? And the rest of the world fades while you and that other soul are momentarily connected in the mutual knowledge that they are looking at you and you at them.” As intimate as a passionate kiss.

7-Picasso mashup I call “Missing him”. If you stare at the right eye (her left) along with nose and mouth at the same time, she is missing the man in the picture so much it hurts.

Is it unrequited love? Did he leave this earth? Brother, father, husband, son, grandfather, lover? Perhaps just temporary separation.

Or... the man in the picture is the picture that came with the frame. But that's her inside joke if anyone asks, because he looks very much like the one that got away years ago but she has never forgotten him.
