Lately I’ve been deep diving into the darker side of experiences I’ve experienced, the subtle things I don’t talk about and the things that are often very taboo.

From a very young age, especially starting in high school, I dealt with a lot of people who were addicted to different substances. At 16 I was dating someone who, at 17, was already heavily addicted to co***ne, L*D, and many other drugs. In recent years I’ve dealt with similar situations with friends and relationships.

The effect of watching someone you love go down a deep, dark hole is something I wouldn’t wish on anybody. It affects relationships, friendships, and so many other things. I’ve lived through a lot and have a lot of stories that I don’t really talk about, but I still want to say this.

To those who are hurting, you aren’t alone. You are loved and you are cherished. I understand that maybe what happened wasn’t your fault, but know and understand that you are valued.

1128 comes from a place of reflecting on some of those darker experiences and the things I’ve witnessed throughout my life.

I’ve been in isolation, taking some time away to catch up on myself and focus on what I needed. But lately, I’ve been feeling that passion for music again in a way I haven’t felt in a long time. It feels like someone you deeply love who you had to let go, just to see if that love would find its way back. Somehow, it did.
