Statement from Rachel A. Preston:
I have received message today that Lee Anthony, former manager and host of the open mic was found not guilty by trial and jury today in court. I was sent paperwork and upon a simple google search and entering data into Harris County’s database have found this to be true.
While it was always my intention to keep the community safe, I made and publicly posted accusatory comments against Lee Anthony in order to negate the beliefs and ideals that I would potentially protect a s*x offender. That was never the case. I do not, and will not ever do such a thing having been a victim of such crimes in my own past.
This is simply a public statement to retract any defamation of character this has caused Lee Anthony. The community’s response is welcome, any questions and comments are also welcome. I am in no position as to answer most of them due to my communication with him being cut off while this court case was pending. I also am in no way any sort of legal expert, I simply know the case is complete and he has been acquitted of these charges.
