Join professional fiddle player Waylon Thibodeaux for Fiddle 101, a 6-week beginner cohort designed to introduce students to the basics of Cajun fiddle in a supportive, hands-on environment.

These lessons are sponsored by the Cajun Music Preservation Society in partnership with the Terrebonne Folklife Culture Center.

Join us for our Annual Gathering at the Chauvin Sculpture Garden on Sunday April 12 where we will unveil the newly restored sculptures after 3 years of repair and strengthening after being damaged by Hurricane Ida. Waylon Thibodeaux starts at 10 am. The Boat Blessing passes at Noon. The Cajun Preserves play after the Blessing. We will have food, music, folk art demonstrators, and a lot of bayou fellowship. Our jams are free, family-friendly, and open to the public. They happen on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month throughout the year.

We’re excited to be back at the French Food Festival in Larose this year! Come see us on Sunday at 11:30!

The wait is almost over! The 50th Annual French Food Festival kicks off THIS FRIDAY!

Here’s what’s cookin’ all weekend long at the Larose Civic Center 👇

🍤 Friday, Oct. 24
Festival opens at 5 PM with your favorite Cajun dishes. Our opening ceremonies will start at 6:30pm. We will have live music by Kerry Thibodaux Band, Snapper and the Fishsticks, and Shorts in December! Don't forget about the crown auction for our Junior, Teen, Miss, and Grand Marshal at 9pm!

🎶 Saturday, Oct. 25
All-day fun from 10 AM–Midnight featuring the folklife exhibit in the gym, Ryan Foret & Foret Tradition, Junior LaCrosse, JP Bourgeois, and Chase Tyler Band — plus our children's crown auction at 5:30pm!

🕊 Sunday, Oct. 26
Start the day with Festival Mass at 10 AM, then shop the Craft Show (10 AM–3 PM) and enjoy music by Waylon Thibodaux and Benjamin Bruce & The Acadians until 4 PM!

💃🦐 Admission and parking are FREE! Don't forget about our live auctions going on all weekend long! We have many incredible items up for grabs! Ride bracelets, great food, live music, auctions, and so much more await you!
