Theater, you want it Hot Springs? Musical, Ages 14+ This July/August...
Is Ever After really as happy as everyone expected? In a hilarious parody of daytime TV, host Sally Lizzie Jesse Donatello-Griffin or Monterey Jack Chesterfield Williamson (you pick the gender) wonders if time truly heals all wounds. She invites Cinderella and her middle-aged ’beauty-impaired’ stepsisters to reconcile with each other after being estranged for 20 years. What about Snow White and the Evil Queen? This hysterical fractured fairy tale has it all: a trash-talking clairvoyant mirror, an unfortunate prince who is turning slowly back into a frog, and even Jiminy Cricket — now an occupational therapist and author of the book “My Life as Your Conscience.” https://hotspringsrecreation.sportngin.com/register/form/553113492

As a reminder, the polling place for the June 2nd primary election will be held at 1747 Lincoln Avenue, in the H.S. School District Bison Center next to the Central Office.

Burn Ban Passed – Thursday, May 7th 2026

The Fall River County Commissioners passed a county burn ban on Thursday, May 7th 2026 to go into effect immediately.

First, the county burn ban is for areas outside the municipalities and outside the Black Hills Fire Protection District. Those areas have their own bans and regulations. So, if you are SOUTH of the Cheyenne River or EAST of SD Highway 79 open fires and fireworks are banned when the Grassland Fire Danger Index is HIGH, VERY HIGH, or EXTREME.

See the National Weather Service for the SD Grassland Fire Danger Index: https://www.weather.gov/unr/rfd

Full burn ban document will be posted to the county website.
