Meet our coach, Semelsburger—award-winning improviser, teacher, and the creative force behind Because I Said So.

Keli has challenged us to take risks, trust each other, embrace the unexpected, and remember that the best comedy comes from saying “Yes, And…”

Thanks to her guidance, we took the stage for our very first show this summer, and this is only the beginning.

🎭 Welcome to Because I Said So Improv!

We're an all-women improv comedy troupe based in Honolulu, creating completely unscripted comedy inspired by audience suggestions. Every scene, every character, and every laugh is made up on the spot—which means no two shows are ever the same.

This page is where we'll share show announcements, behind-the-scenes moments, rehearsal shenanigans, photos, and the occasional ridiculous character that refuses to stay on stage.
