Got this gorgeous mirror (@ 24”x36”) at a garage sale today for $5. I came around the corner on my way to a pickup and *boom* there she was for $3. I motioned to the woman and told her I was on my way to a pax but I wanted the mirror and waved my $5 bill at her 🤣 She handed it to me through my window. It’s quite heavy and the back is polished metal so shiny it is also an effective mirror. It has holes bored into the back for hanging; it’s legit 1.5”+ thick. A for just $3 + tip. 😏 is not just for tourists.

If abortion is illegal, then all men not acutely ready to have children should be required to have a vasectomy. That’s tantamount to what they are trying to do to women in the USA.
Legalities and the behavior of others have no consequences for politics, morality, and philosophy, nor does one’s political, moral, or philosophical beliefs unilaterally dictate legalities and behaviors.
The only way Rob Pollock’s statement makes any sense is if abortion is legal, then suddenly everyone’s beliefs change to match. Which is evidently NOT the case.
Peoples’ individual politics, morals, and philosophy of life are all factors that they believe have import in the conversation, but SCIENTIFICALLY they do not.
Have you ever cancelled an order before it’s shipped? Life simply does not begin at conception any more than placing an order guarantees the receipt of your items. When does life begin, in my opinion, is a question worth considering. Is it the heartbeat? Brain development? At the point when pain can be experienced? That is the only thing arbitrary about this issue. But it ultimately IS just health care. Multiple factors in individual cases deserve, and need, to be considered, and even if all things considered leads one to conclude that a woman *should* bring the baby to term the fact remains that pregnancy is a POTENTIALLY FATAL MEDICAL CONDITION exclusively experienced by women. That is an objective, scientific fact, not an abstract concept dependent upon one’s individual perspective.
Flip the script. When my grandmother was 90 she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Insurance would not cover the cost of the operation to remove it, nor would any surgeon perform it anyway. Why? SHE WAS FU***NG NINETY. This is intuitively non-controversial. There is equally no controversy about the fact that life actually begins at some point significantly later than conception. A zygote merely has the potential to develop into a viable human being. This post, albeit an inaccurate analogy, is easily understandable as such and is certainly science.
If abortion is illegal, then the government should be held accountable for every woman who dies in childbirth. Given the maternal mortality rate in the USA this is NOT a hill they should want to die on. Those lawsuits WILL come. Imagine the fracas over the first woman who dies giving birth to a stillborn baby which was deemed months prior to be incompatible with life.
