This item was a birthday gift to my wife for her birthday yesterday. She embodies her July birthday, so full of light and love. Her own personal symbol could only be the warmth of the sun. @ Homestead, Pennsylvania

Guardian is inspired by the architectural guardian adornments found on buildings and bridges of the 1920s. Stylized heroic protectors, guardians were built into architecture and monuments in the Art Deco style.

The work shown here is a prototype at 1/3 scale. The client requested a human head or eye sculpture that would include mounting elements in order to house a biometric facial recognition camera. I designed and fabricated Guardian as a commissioned sculpture to help raise funds for a worthy cause, the .
