Do you ever feel like you and your spouse are navigating life together without a clear direction?

Creating a marriage vision and mission statement can be a powerful way to clarify your values, goals, and priorities as a couple. But how do you know what your marriage should look like?

That's where partnering with the Holy Spirit comes in. As Christians, we have the privilege of seeking God's guidance and wisdom for our marriages.

As Habakkuk 2:2 reminds us, "Write the vision; make it plain..." But before we can write our vision, we need to seek God's heart for our marriage.

In my pre-marital course, I guide couples in creating a personalized vision and mission statement for their marriage. But we don't just stop at writing down our own goals and aspirations. We also seek the Holy Spirit's guidance and wisdom, asking Him to reveal His plans and purposes for our marriage.

By partnering with the Holy Spirit, couples can:
- Gain clarity on God's vision for their marriage
- Develop a shared understanding of their values, goals, and priorities
- Make intentional decisions that align with God's plans and purposes
- Navigate challenges and conflicts with greater faith, hope, and love

When we hear the word intimacy, many of us immediately associate it with s*x. However, s*x is just one aspect of intimacy, which encompasses twelve different forms. Unfortunately, societal influences, our upbringing, and misguided teachings have led us astray, causing us to miss out on genuine intimacy.

The original model of intimacy was established in the Garden of Eden, where we see a beautiful connection between God and Adam. This raises some profound questions:

1. Have we been experiencing true intimacy intended from the Lord?

2. Are our struggles with true intimacy in our marriages a reflection of our own disconnection from intimate communion with the Lord?

There is a level of intimacy that many of us have yet to experience.

Are we ready to have this conversation?
