We each are given a unique gift with a unique purpose. Don't allow comparison to get in the way of your service to the Lord.

I thank my sweet sisters whose unconditional love
has spurred me on.
Who have fought battles by my side.
Who have withstood the enemy’s schemes to cause divide.
Sweet sisters, your devotion to the Lord has filled the void,
hollow sunken voids
caused by bitterness filled lies.
Your words of love have healed the wounds
caused by those I used to trust.
You are true examples of strength, dignity and love.

I've come to accept that my physical health is not separate from my spiritual health.

Caring for my body is an act of worship. It includes making healthy food choices, exercising regularly and resting. When I'm over consuming calories, it's usually because I'm overwhelmed. Instead of running to food, I should be running to God. (Philippians 4:6) When I'm exhausted, I have to say "no" to extra activities and say "yes" to rest and relaxation. (Matthew 11:28-29) (Mark 2:27) My body is a temple that houses the holy spirit. I should properly invest in it as the precious gift that it is. (1 Corinthians 6:19) I confess that I have not mastered the care of my temple. However I have faith that by partnering up with the Holy Spirit, I can successfully reach my health goals.
