☘️ March is officially Irish American Heritage Month in North Carolina! ☘️
We’re proud to share that Governor Josh Stein has proclaimed March 2026 as Irish American Heritage Month across our state, recognizing the deep roots and lasting impact of Irish and Scots-Irish heritage in North Carolina.
From early settlements and Appalachian traditions to the music, storytelling, and culture that still shape our communities today, Irish Americans have played an important role in the history and identity of our state.
We’re grateful to see this heritage formally recognized and encourage everyone to take a moment this month to reflect on the many ways Irish culture and history have helped shape North Carolina. Sláinte! ☘️
