Just a few photos from Monday evening at Bay View. No dramatic sunset this time, but we always enjoy a visit to the beach and Memorial Garden at that peaceful time of day. We're in Holland (the Michigan one) for a couple of days, but will get back up north as soon as we can. We really don't want to be away from this place for too long! 🥰🏡

Thanks to the handbell choir at South Lyon First United Methodist Church for playing our 6-bell arrangement of "Simple Gifts" (aka "Lord of the Dance") at a recent service. We love knowing that even a very small handbell group can still make beautiful music in worship.

Well done to the ringers, and the pianist too! This piece is one that still manages to be quite challenging, even though it doesn't need many bells. If you'd like to listen, the video should start at the right time for the handbells. 🥰🎶

It's always a fun bonus when we can pick up a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle! Bathbomb Chicken's going to have to find somewhere else to sit now. She might be unhappy. 🙄🐔🌷

If you thought WE were obsessed with the MASSIVE METAL CHICKENS from the Tractor Supply place, well, yes, perhaps we are. But we're not the only ones. 😂 So far, every single time, we've managed to leave the store without bringing a single 6-ft chicken home with us. The same cannot be said for The Roosters of Ogunquit.

In completely unrelated news, does anyone want to book us for a handbell duet performance in Maine? 😂🎶🐔🐔🐔

It probably won't surprise you to know that Bathbomb Chicken has her own little drawstring bag, so that she's less likely to get lost when traveling. She's only the size of a thumb nail, so taking her out of the house without her bag would feel a bit high-risk, especially after the near-disaster in a thrift store a couple of weeks ago! 😬 🐔

Our little pink friend Bathbomb Chicken wasn't happy with us for a while, because we took far too long to finish the jigsaw puzzle with the tulips in. We got there eventually, though, and she celebrated by finding FOUR different places to hide. 🥳 Can you spot her in each of these pictures? 🐔👀

Here's another fun "news" report! We went into our local Tractor Supply place, and saw this attractive chicken solar lantern. Of course, we're , so this particular chicken-item didn't come home with us. 😎🫸🐔 However, our friend Lisa sent us a photo of HER chicken lantern at night, and look how amazing it is! See the little chickens on the deck railing? We are determined not to be tempted by one of these, but if YOU have one, we'd love to see a photo! 😍🐔

Here, in all its glory, is a MASSIVE CAMO CHICKEN at the Tractor Supply place! We waited a long time to see one of these chickens in real life. We can confirm that even though these chickens have excellent camouflage skills, we still managed to get a good look at this one, as it stood with its friends, awaiting collection/adoption in Hudsonville, Michigan. 😎🐔🎉

What do you give to someone who's ? 🤔 Chicken pens, and a chicken wallet! We're all relieved to know that it doesn't count as collecting if the chicken is a gift, of course. Thanks to JC (Tune Rx) for this fine selection of birthday chicken-items! 🤣🐔🎉

In less-exciting news, we haven't heard a peep out of our own chicken wind-chime. It definitely seems to be more chicken and less chime, although perhaps the location on our cottage porch isn't ideal. Even on a fairly breezy day, there's not a lot happening here. 😂☔️🐔🌼🌼🌼🌼🌿
