🎶 A Night at the Symphony 🎶

The HHS Orchestra Club and Hobbs Community Orchestra had a wonderful concert last Tuesday! We closed off an amazing school year full of growth and memories, and took the time to honor our 2026 graduates who made it all possible.

We also had a fun time listening to the HHS Jazz Band under the leadership of sophomore Michael Puccio and his friends as they had their debut performance. Big thank you to Dan and Amanda Heister and Hobbs First Baptist Church for kindly letting us use their beautiful facilities!

Your continuous support makes these performances possible each semester, stay tuned for what’s next regarding summer and fall orchestra sessions! Come be a part of something great! 🎻

2 weeks ago we had the great privilege of having a clinic with Dr. Hyerim Mapp from Las Cruces! Dr. Mapp is an accomplished cellist and orchestra director at Centennial High School, who was also this year’s NMMEA Honor Orchestra.

We want to thank her for spending some time with us in helping us prepare for tonight’s concert!

🎶 Be sure to arrive early for this evening's City Commission Meeting, because we're delighted to welcome members of the Hobbs Community Orchestra beginning at 5:45 p.m., who will be performing in the Commission Chambers prior to the 6:00 p.m. start time for the meeting!

👥💬 As always, we invite and encourage the public to join our City of Hobbs Commission Meetings, participating in the goings-on of your local government, and today even more with the addition of some young musical talent on display!

ℹ️ The Hobbs City Commission meets regularly on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month. Regular meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. in the City Commission Chamber at City Hall, 200 East Broadway, Hobbs, New Mexico. Dates are subject to change if the regular meeting date falls on a holiday or as otherwise approved by the City Commission.
