📢 PSA — AS OF AUGUST 2026:
One thing I’ve had to learn the HARD way in business is that having a big heart and running a business don’t always mix well.
And I’m guilty of it.
I have emotionally charged people for YEARS. I hear someone’s situation, I feel empathy for them, and immediately I start knocking money off. I discount before they even ask. I start figuring out how I can make it cheaper because they’re friends or family or going through it. That’s just who I am.
But I’ve finally had to realize something:
My empathy CANNOT come at the expense of my business or my family’s livelihood.
This is not a hobby. This is my career. This is how I help provide for my family.
My prices reflect YEARS of experience, PAID education, continued training, QUALITY products, QUALITY tools, my time, and the detailed level of work I provide.
And when I constantly discount because I feel “bad,” or because we’re “friends,” or “family.” I’m not just discounting a service. I’m discounting my time for another client that values my work, my experience, and ultimately income that belongs in MY household.
So this is a boundary I’m FINALLY putting in place.
📢 PSA — AS OF AUGUST 2026:
I will no longer be offering discounts on my services.
If my pricing is outside of your budget or you simply feel I’m “TOO” expensive, there are absolutely NO hard feelings. I will gladly refer you to another stylist who may be a better fit for your budget.
But I will no longer lower my prices to fit someone else’s budget.
And I’m learning that I don’t have to feel guilty about that.
Not everyone is supposed to be my client.
I want clients who trust my expertise, respect my time, value the quality of my work, and understand that what I provide is an investment.
Because one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in this industry is:
The clients who pay the least often demand the most.
The clients who invest the most often trust you the most.
I can still be compassionate.
I can still have empathy.
I can still have a big heart.
And I can still have BOUNDARIES.
My heart can be generous without my business paying the price for it. 🤍
