Blocking is a finishing step where you wet your project, pin it into shape, and let it dry.
It smooths stitches, evens edges, and helps your piece look neat and professional.
Do you block your projects?

Everyone starts somewhere — a granny square, a scarf, a slightly wonky coaster.
What was the first thing you ever crocheted?

The "New Life" Transformation
I’ve spent a long time looking at this tattered chair, wondering if it was finally time to say goodbye—or if I could find a way to save it. 🧶✨

Turns out, all it needed was some patience and a lot of single crochet! I’m so glad I decided to give this piece a second life instead of sending it to the landfill. Watching it come together—from those strategic increases on the seat to the side stripes wrapping the frame—was so satisfying.

The best part? It’s no longer "trash"—it’s a functional piece of home decor ready for my grandson to enjoy for years to come. 🪑💙

What do you think of the before & after? Would you ever crochet your furniture? 👇
