Warning that this will be a long, sad, but important post.
Hi everyone, I’m Jenn. I am responsible for the Rebel Stitches side of Dark Dimensions but you may know me better as the face you see when you stop by our booth. My husband, Mike, and I started this business in 2017 as two young kids with a dream-ok maybe we weren’t kids, we were in our 30’s but the point stands. We changed a lot over the years, starting as Heartfelt and Homemade then Black Cat Decor before finally finding our true selves and becoming Dark Dimensions. It might have taken us a minute to get here but we did it and we got here because of Mike. Even in our earliest of days Mike had faith that we could do it. He was the one who pushed me to sign up for our first event and he was the one who every year would push me to try new and bigger shows. He had faith in us. He had faith in ME. I still remember when I told him we were accepted for our first event. He grabbed his phone and ordered a tent and tables in about 30 seconds. You see he had them already saved in his cart because he knew we would need them. He never doubted for a second that we would get that acceptance.
Since the beginning Mike has been the backbone of Dark Dimensions and our family. He was my constant. My rock. I always knew no matter what was going on I could count on him to make me strong. You might not have always seen him but he was there. He worked tirelessly to make us the best we could be both personally and professionally. I could go on and on about how loved and amazing he was but you get the picture
Now for the truly difficult part. I have tried to write these words over and over again but there is no easy way to say it. My heart is broken to let everyone know that my husband, my partner, my love is no longer with us. Mike passed away in the early hours of June 30th. He loved us but he also loved this business we built together and would want me to thank every one of you who have supported us over the years. As of now I plan to attend all events that we have already committed to for this year but will post if there are any changes. I want to keep this business going not only for myself but for Mike because I know he would want that.
If you have read this whole post thank you. If I could give one bit of advice it would be to hold your loved ones a little tighter. Remember that no day is promised. Love with your whole heart 🖤

06/23/2026

It was four months ago that we had to make the difficult announcement of our April 2026 show postponement.

The horrible announcement came with a silver lining-

We locked in our home until at least the end of the DECADE, and we added a second annual show called Super Jersey SUMMER SPECTACULAR which had a slightly wider format than our "Love Letter to Heroes Con & Baltimore" show in April.

Since then it has been an INSANE ride.

The August show's vendor & artist floor is sold out.

Tickets are moving faster than ever.

We've got F$%& #@ John Romita Jr.'s first area appearance in a decade happening.

The largest Mallrats cast reunion in NJ history including an In-Costume photo op with Jay & Silent Bob...WTF.

Went through our entire vendor/artist list to pull some stats of what you can expect at the first-ever Super Jersey SUMMER SPECTACULAR Comic, Toy & Collectible Show on August 29th and put together a little "by the numbers"(so far) graphic for y'all.

Not sure why the universe decided to throw us yet another curve ball a few months ago, because it really did almost break us...
..but looking back on it, the "tragedy" was a blessing in disguise.

We're more excited and ever- and much of that excitement is thanks to every single one of our friends and reading this, whether you're new to the crew or been with us since day one.

A special shoutout must go out to our heroes from Iron Peak Sports & Events who opened their doors and have bent over backwards for us to make this all work- by FAR the most-reliable and friendly event venue staff we've worked with yet.

We hope you're ready...there's more coming!
