Vegans eat no flesh food of any kind, nor any flesh food by-products, such as honey, eggs or any dairy. We do not wear leather, silk, wool, fur or any other skin of any creature. No animals/creatures are killed for someone's selfish purposes. No hunting, fishing or culling. We oppose animal testing. We oppose the use of animals for circuses, aquariums, Sea World, farming, zoos, carriage rides, pup
py mills, breeding, and public entertainment such as Bull fighting, cock fighting, dog fighting, horse racing, etc. We keep all animal products out of our lives such as cosmetics, perfumes, cleaning fluids, etc. No Ivory tusks, no alligator skin, no feathers for down, no fish for fish oil! We are against GMOs. We're all about organic. Our compost in our gardens are all plant based. There are no such farms as Happy and Humane Family Farms. All animals are lead to the slaughter houses, crying, suffering, fearing for their lives and are killed inhumanely and violently. We love and respect all of creation and we protect it like it is a dear and beloved family member and friend. Often times I've read that the word vegan is defined as 'strict' and 'limited'. That's clearly incorrect. Veganism is the most universal, ultimate, optimally beneficial way for all of us to live on this one great big planet every day to ensure the health and goodness of our own bodies and for all creation and the planet earth!!! The word 'vegan' was chosen by founder, Donald Watson and his 'non-dairy vegetarians' in November of 1944, to describe their diet and lifestyle. Watson took the first and last two letters of 'vegetarian' to create this new word. World Vegan Day and World Vegan Month in November are organized by The Vegan Society. Veganism is non-violent and compassionate. Live an optimally healthy vegan lifestyle and you will reap wonderful benefits for yourself, the animals and the earth.
